SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A former South Burlington man faces charges of sexual and physical abuse of an eight-year-old child.
Acting on a tip from DCF last month, the Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations says David Carr, 36, currently living in Middlebury, committed the crimes of lewd or lascivious conduct with a child and simple assault.
He was arrested earlier this month on Shelburne Road in South Burlington without incident and released on conditions.
Authorities say Carr has pending criminal cases in Vermont and prior felony convictions from another state.
