Amber Alert for 2 abducted NH girls; police investigating suspicious death

BERLIN, N.H. (WCAX) – New Hampshire Authorities are investigating a suspicious death and have issued an amber alert in connection with the abduction of two girls in Berlin, New Hampshire.

Police say they believe 13-month-old Vaelyn Duren and 4-year-old Elowyn Duren were abducted by their father, 36-year-old Dustin Duren. They were last seen in Berlin, New Hampshire on Thursday around 8:00 p.m., although Durens’s car was later spotted in the Concord area.

It comes as police are investigating a suspicious death in Berlin. Police responded around 10:30 p.m. to an apartment at 1063 Main Street and said they discovered the body of Caitlyn Naffziger, 31.

Police say Duren was driving a white 2017 Subaru Impreza 4 with NH Veteran registration V69023. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police urge anyone who sees Duren, the children, or his vehicle, to not approach them and call 911 immediately.
