BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) – An assault in southern Vermont prompted the victim to get airlifted across state lines.
Around 9:45 Thursday night, Brattleboro police and fire departments responded to the Hampton Inn on Putney Road to a report of a man with blood on his face and hands due to an assault in the parking lot.
The 44-year-old victim had serious injuries to the back of his head.
He was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and was later airlifted to UMass-Worcester Hospital for serious life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective Kerylow at the Brattleboro police department.
