Granite Lecture and Film Series Presents Paul Heller, “Montpelier’s Green Mount Cemetery: A History and Guide”

In 1855, the city of Montpelier dedicated Green Mount Cemetery on forty acres of land purchased by a special board of five commissioners from Isaiah Silver. Heller lays out the history of the cemetery and many of its notable features and memorials in his book, incorporating a variety of images and GPS coordinates.
