BRADFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – There was a large police presence in Bradford on Tuesday.
Vermont State Police, including their major crime unit, were at a location on Old Post Road for most of the day.
Troopers are not yet commenting on why they were there, other than to say it is part of an ongoing investigation.
However, two weeks ago police said they were searching for a missing man known to frequent Bradford. Family members last saw Corey Crooker, 43, on Jan. 9. Police said at the time there was nothing to indicate Crooker disappeared under suspicious circumstances, but there were concerns for his welfare.
Troopers have not said whether those two cases are related but they did say they expect to release more information Tuesday night or Wednesday about what they were doing in Bradford.
