BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A New York man has been sentenced to four and a half years in federal prison for dealing drugs in Burlington.
Federal authorities say Jamontay Brister, 29, of Queens, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to distributing fentanyl and cocaine, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
According to court records, Burlington Police and DEA agents last year made three controlled purchases of fentanyl from Brister using a confidential source. Police raided his apartment in July and found a hoard of drugs, $10,000 cash, and a handgun.
