PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – Greyhound has moved to another new stop in Plattsburgh.
The latest move caps a yearlong search to find a permanent home after criticism from Clinton County officials over the lack of shelter and bathrooms at the original stop outside the Government Center.
The bus stop was then moved to the former farmers market facility in the Durkee Street parking lot. But Greyhound, which had to pay the city $1,000 a month in rent, floated plans over the summer to move the stop again.
The new stop is located at the Sunoco gas station on Route 3 next to Planet Fitness.
The stop includes a 24-hour bathroom and indoor seating for eight.
City officials say Trailways is also searching for a new stop in Plattsburgh.
