CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) – New Hampshire’s attorney general has been voted the leader of a national attorneys general group.
John Formella was elected president of the National Association of Attorneys General.
At the group’s Capital Forum earlier this month, Formella announced his presidential initiative focused on opioid litigation and drug trafficking.
“I am honored to lead this important organization at a time when it is crucial for Attorneys General to unite, regardless of party, to protect our communities. In an era of political division, our ability to collaborate and work across party lines is more essential than ever,” Formella, R-N.H. Attorney General, said in a statement.
Formella has served as New Hampshire’s chief law enforcement officer since 2021, expanding the state’s cold case unit and creating the Northern Border Alliance Task Force among other accomplishments.
