WASHINGTON (WCAX) – New Hampshire Senator Maggie Hassan has reintroduced legislation that would give some disabled veterans access to TSA PreCheck.
It’s a program that provides expedited screening to passengers prior to their arrival at an airport checkpoint.
Active duty, reservists, and National Guard service members are already given TSA precheck at no cost.
Under the VETS Safe Travel Act, the program would be expanded to veterans who are amputees, paralyzed, or blind.
“This bipartisan legislation recognizes the unique challenges that many disabled veterans face and helps to better ensure that their travel experience reflects the dignity of their service,” Hassan said in a statement.
