ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – St. Albans Police are searching for a suspect in an assault and robbery at a Market 32 that happened just before 11pm Saturday.
Police responded to the grocery store and learned a man had entered, made a small purchase, and when the cashier opened the cash drawer the suspect reached across the counter and grabbed money from the drawer. When the cashier tried to stop him they were assaulted.
The suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The cashier was not seriously injured.
Police say the suspect a white male with thinning light color hair. He was wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. A tattoo is visible on his right upper forearm.
