Police seek suspect in suspicious Enosburgh death

ENOSBURGH, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont authorities are searching for a suspect in an incident in Enosburgh Friday morning that left one person dead and a second hospitalized.

Vermont State Police say it began around 8:45 a.m. with the report of a disturbance at a home on West Enosburgh Road near Tyler Branch Road. Responding troopers located a body outside the home. A second person was rushed to the hospital.

Police are now looking for Jordan Lawyer, 29, of Enosburgh. He is believed to be driving a black 2015 Jeep Cherokee that was last reported seen at about 9:30 a.m. on Vermont Route 108 in Bakersfield. The Jeep has Vermont license plate HXL 565. Anyone who sees the Jeep or Lawyer should contact the police and not approach.
