BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The chair of the Democratic National Committee stopped in Vermont on Wednesday.
Jaime Harrison was at the Burlington Democratic headquarters to follow up on an investment the committee made in Vermont. The party recently got money to hire a new data and digital director.
Earlier this year, former DNC Chair Howard Dean told WCAX the party was abandoning the “50-state strategy” he engineered while chairing the committee, but Harrison says he wants to follow in Dean’s footsteps.
“We’re really, really proud of those investments because it’s not just about the top of the ticket, it’s about making sure we’re giving our state parties the help and the support, so they can win all up and down that ballot,” Harrison said.
Harrison is campaigning for Colchester Democrat Andy Julow and expected to knock on doors until about 7:30 p.m.
