WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCAX) – Vermont Senator Peter Welch is fighting to ensure every family can have a kid – even if it needs a little medical intervention.
It comes after Senate Republicans shot down the Right to IVF Act.
The legislation would protect access to in vitro fertilization and remove financial barriers for participants.
The act was blocked by most Senate Republicans back in June, who called the legislation ‘too broad.’
Senate Republicans did the same yesterday.
Sen. Welch joined his colleagues on the steps of the Senate on Tuesday to tout the legislation.
