MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont’s two-part archery deer hunting season officially kicks off on Oct. 1.
Fish and Wildlife officials say the first part of the season goes until Nov. 15, and the second part runs Dec. 2-15.
Archery season is closed during the regular rifle season, Nov. 16-Dec. 1.
Hunters may take up to four deer in Vermont’s two-part archery season if they do not shoot any deer in the other deer seasons. The purchase of an archery deer license and tag is required for each deer.
