Vermont to get $1.3M in rural development grants

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – More money is coming to Vermont farmers thanks to rural development funding from Washington.

Sen. Peter Welch says the U.S. Department of Agriculture is investing nearly $1.3 million in Vermont communities.

Money from the Rural Business Development grants will go toward different businesses and projects across the state. That includes $200,000 to build a food coop and $90,000 for Catamount Arts, both in St. Johnsbury. Click here for the full list.
