BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) – Senator Peter Welch will be in Brattleboro on Monday to celebrate additions to Amtrak.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held to mark the start of construction for a new Amtrak station in Brattleboro.
It’ll feature the state’s first-ever level platform with other accessibility features like ramps, ample seating, ADA-accessible restrooms, and parking spaces.
They’ll also be installing an electric snow melt system and an art installation by Brattleboro Words Trail for travelers to enjoy.
