BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Costs for care are on the rise, and now leaders want to hear from Vermonters who will be footing the bill.
Senator Bernie Sanders is hosting a round table in Burlington Friday night to talk about healthcare costs in the state.
It comes after the only insurers in Vermont’s marketplace proposed premium rate increases.
If they are approved, Vermonters could see increases between 9% and 19%.
Sanders will be joined by medical and insurance professionals at 11 Elmwood Avenue in Burlington at 5:30 Friday night.
