BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Snow was falling steadily Saturday morning with a thick layer coating roads across Chittenden County and beyond. Interstate 89 had one traveled lane early in the morning, with two lanes peeking through as the sun came up. Throughout Williston and Burlington, roads kept a good grip despite the snow. Neighborhoods saw slightly less plowing and more slippage, though minimal. Vermont Agency of Transportation sent out plows around 3 a.m., a few hours after the storm began. They say they’ll be out throughout the day. Officials expect wet and heavy snow into the evening, with some power outages possible. They recommend taking it slow, giving plows plenty of room to work and keeping an eye on the forecast.
