First lady touches down for Upper Valley visit

LEBANON, N.H. (WCAX) – First Lady Jill Biden has arrived in Vermont for a brief campaign swing.

The president’s wife touched down at the Lebanon Municipal Airport around 5 p.m. She’s attending a private fundraiser in Norwich for Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign.

The first lady was greeted on the tarmac by Lebanon Mayor Tim McNamara. “I am proud to say on the Lebanon City Council, we are a nonpartisan organization which we think works very well and perhaps could be a good example for the country,” McNamara said.

Not everyone welcomed the first lady to the region. A crowd of pro-Palestinian protestors gathered on the green in Norwich in opposition to U.S. military aid to Israel.
