JOHNSON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police are asking the public for help identifying a bank robbery suspect.
The robbery happened Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m. at the Union Bank on Main Street.
Lamoille County Sheriff Roger Marcoux says the robber handed a note to a bank employee demanding cash. The man did not show a weapon. Investigators say he then took off on foot on Route 15 toward Jeffersonville. It’s not clear whether he got into a vehicle.
No one was injured.
The robber is described as a 6-foot-tall man with a thin build. He was wearing a grayish windbreaker, light olive green pants, black sneakers, a blue baseball cap and a mask.
