BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A game is bringing community members together in Burlington. It’s called mah-jongg. It originated in China in the 19th century and made its way to the West in the 1920s.
Lynda Siegel learned to play in 2001 and found it a relaxing alternative to her work as a school teacher. Now, she’s teaching others how to play at the Ohavi Zedek Synagogue in Burlington.
