BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Authorities say they seized two loaded guns from a man over the weekend at the Burlington airport.
The TSA says officers on Sunday spotted a 49-year-old male with two P365 pistols — along with three loaded magazines — during the routine security screening.
They say the passenger told officers he forgot he had the firearms on him.
“When an individual shows up at a checkpoint with a firearm it can slow or shut down security screening until the police resolve the incident,” said the TSA’s Chuck Woyat, “There are clear and simple rules for flying with firearms, and we want to make sure passengers understand them to avoid delays, fines, and potential legal consequences.”
They say the last firearm detection at the airport was last September.
