HINESBURG, Vt. (WCAX) – Local law enforcement converged in Hinesburg Monday to honor one of their own.
A procession of police cruisers and fire trucks traveled down Route 7 headed for the burial of Lt. Alan Fortin, who died last week at the age of 61.
Before becoming a full-time safety officer with the Chittenden County Sheriff’s Office in 2018, Fortin served as a sergeant and later a lieutenant with the Shelburne Police for 29 years.
