COLCHESTER, Vt. (WCAX) – Starting this week, those driving through Colchester can expect some delays on their commute.
A part of West Lakeshore Drive will be down to one lane beginning on Thursday. The construction is happening across from the Moorings Marina, and will last for four weeks.
Crews are getting started on the next phase of the Mallets Bay Sewer Project, which is aimed at improving water quality in the bay.
If you do drive along that way and get caught in traffic, Colchester Public Works staff ask that you please be patient with crews as they will be working as quickly as possible.
The Mallets Bay Sewer Project is expected to be complete by 2027, but that timeline is flexible.
