BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – This isn’t a joke. The Festival of Fools won’t happen this summer in Burlington.
Burlington City Arts said in the wake of the city’s financial challenges, and considering all their other programming, they hit pause on the annual festival this year.
Since 2007, street performers flocked to Church Street to entertain visitors and earn money.
Though the festival will not happen in 2025, BCA says they “fully expect” it to return in 2026.
