ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – Registered nurses at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans are unionizing.
Union leaders with AFT Vermont say after four months of organizing, a majority of the roughly 150 registered nurses at Northwestern Medical Center voted 72-45 to formalize their union on Thursday.
They say the nurses will begin the process of bargaining their first contract with the hospital administration once the votes are certified.
