MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont housing officials on Wednesday presented their strategy to address the ongoing housing crisis.
A day after the governor’s budget address outlined housing as a top priority, administration officials outlined new strategies and funding opportunities for expanding the state’s housing stock, placing specific emphasis on development in rural areas.
The plan aims to bolster small-scale developers, permit reform, and adjust the TIF model to allow more communities to improve public infrastructure.
