N.Y. receives funding to combat domestic violence

PLATTSBURGH, Vt. (WCAX) – Nearly $100,000 is heading to the north country to combat domestic and sexual violence.

Behavioral Health Services North is on the receiving end of a $95,000 grant.

That money will help enhance its Stop Domestic and Sexual Violence program.

That will look like program expansions, new outreach initiatives, better training for staff and volunteers, and the creation of new resources.

Resources are available if you or someone you know needs help in a domestic violence situation.
