Former NY prison guard sentenced for providing weapons to felon

ALBANY, N.Y. (WCAX) – A former Clinton County corrections officer was sentenced Wednesday to two years in federal prison for providing firearms to a felon.

Federal authorities say Brian Mills, 39, of Dannemora pleaded guilty in August to trading guns and body armor in 2022 to Dustin Manor, a Plattsburgh resident that he knew was a felon.

Mills had been employed as a corrections officer at the Clinton Correctional Facility but resigned following his arrest.

As part of the sentence, Mills will also face two years of supervised release.

Manor was sentenced in August to 57 months in prison.
