4 semifinalists in Vermont for James Beard Awards

NEW YORK (WCAX) – The James Beard Awards are known as the Oscars of the food industry, and this year there are four semifinalists from our region.

Cara Chigazola-Tobin continues to get recognition for her work at Honey Road in Burlington. She’s been a semi-finalist before. Now, both Chigazola-Tobin and Allison Gibson are up for Outstanding Restaurateur for their work at Honey Road and Gray Jay.

Avery Buck of May Day in Burlington is a semi-finalist for Best Chef: Northeast.

And in the Upper Valley, Wolf Tree in White River Junction is up for Outstanding Bar.

The nominees will be named in April and the winners will be announced in June.
