Rutland library celebrates ‘Noon Year’s Eve’ for kids

RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – Families in Rutland will celebrate the start of 2025 a little bit early this weekend.

The Rutland Free Library is holding its annual “Noon Year’s Eve” party on Saturday morning with free food, drinks and crafts for kids who may not make it to midnight.

Library organizers say it’s the perfect event for families during winter break.

“Downtime is great but we really love being that place where people can come and make connections. It’s so fun to see kids come and see their friends from schools and see friends from outside of school and then parents making those connections that they don’t always get to make other times of the year,” said Amanda Münch, the children’s librarian at the Rutland Free Library.

Noon Year’s Eve starts Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fox Room at the library.
