ALBURGH, Vt. (WCAX) – Getting into Canada could come with a time limit and one town hopes to change that.
We told you about proposed hours reductions on border crossings in Vermont and New York.
Now, Alburgh is taking action to keep its border open 24 hours.
The select board wrote a letter to Customs and Border Patrol outlining the day-to-day economic and public safety concerns that come with limited hours.
The Alburgh Springs crossing will keep its hours of 8 to 4 and the crossing on Route 225 will reduce its hours to 8 to 8.
