BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – It’s a few days early for Santa, but Frontier Airlines is coming to town.
As air travel bounces back post-pandemic, Frontier Airlines is coming back to Burlington, too.
The carrier left in 2019, but with the airport set to have it’s second busiest year ever, the airline is making a return.
Frontier is known for it’s a-la-carte services and low fares. They will offer direct flights to Tampa and Orlando starting Friday, December 20.
The airport’s director says Florida is the number one destination from BTV, making it a perfect fit for the community.
Officials say they’re also exploring other routes with Frontier and are trying to bring back the direct flight to Denver.
The first flight to Burlington is expected to touch down just after 10 a.m. Friday.
