RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) – An annual food and toy giveaway is spreading holiday cheer in Rutland.
The Rutland County Parent Child Center held its annual giveaway Wednesday. The organization now gives out presents to upwards of 700 children.
“I think that we do it really well at RCPCC. We do it with dignity, we ensure each child receives three to four gifts, we give them to families unwrapped and well before Christmas so that they can see what their kids are getting, and sort of get to wrap them themselves and be a part of the process,” said the RCPCC’s Corissa Burnell.
She says they also helped feed around 300 families with two weeks of food while children are on winter break.
