Champlain Valley School District taps longtime educator as superintendent

SHELBURNE, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont’s largest school district has a new leader at its helm.

The Champlain Valley School District announced on Wednesday that longtime CVU educator and principal Adam Bunting will serve as its new superintendent.

“As superintendent, my role will be to collaborate with the entire community to create the conditions for these powerful, transformative experiences across and through our system,” Bunting said in a statement. “When we share values, hold all our students in unconditional high regard, partner with caregivers, and provide dynamic, authentic learning opportunities, we do nothing short of inspiring a better world.”

Bunting, who has served as interim superintendent since July, has over 25 years of experience in the district. He’s also a CVU graduate.
