MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – A gathering at the Statehouse Tuesday honors those killed or hurt by impaired or distracted driving.
The annual Red Ribbon Tree Ceremony takes place at noon in the House chamber.
Each ribbon represents a person who died on Vermont roads.
More than 50 percent of fatal crashes over the last four years involved an impaired driver and more than 10 percent involved a distracted driver.
