BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A man is in critical condition after police say he was hit by a drunk driver.
Police say 26-year-old Jamee Shields of Townshend was driving under the influence on Route 30 when she hit 24-year-old Shane Whittaker just after 6:30 Monday night.
An investigation found that Shields’ child was also in the car at the time of the crash.
Whittaker was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
