Homeland Security working scene in Starksboro

STARKSBORO, Vt. (WCAX) – Department of Homeland Security officers spent Friday morning working a scene at a home on VT-116. Details about the investigation are limited at this time.

Just before 6:30 a.m., Vermont State Police issued a notice about a road closure on VT-116 in the area of Shamrock Rd. The road was re-opened shortly after, but noted that police would still be present in the area.

Our crew on the scene learned that while Vermont State Police is securing the premises, this is an ongoing investigation led by the Department of Homeland Security. Authorities on scene were not able to share further information.

WCAX will be following this story as it unfolds and will bring you the latest as we get it.
