STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont’s ski industry began back in 1934 with a rope tow in Woodstock, followed by scores of other small ski areas popping up around the state. But where are they today?
The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum has been documenting Vermont’s “lost” ski areas, and a revised exhibit, “Searching for Vermont’s Lost Ski Areas – Part 2,” introduces visitors to 113 more hidden gems.
Cat Viglienzoni spoke with museum officials about some of the discoveries included in the exhibit which opens on Friday.
