ECHO recognized for sensory accessibility

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A local science museum is getting a little love for inclusive fun.

The ECHO Leahy Center in Burlington has been recognized by the non-profit KultureCity for its accessibility.

ECHO is the first Vermont location to receive the certification for its work supporting visitors with sensory needs.

To achieve certification, ECHOstaff were trained to recognize and help guests with sensory needs, and sensory bags are provided to help people who may feel overwhelmed at ECHO.
