BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) – A statewide burn ban was lifted on Monday, but one town will keep it going longer.
The Brattleboro Fire Department says no burn permits will be issued until at least Dec. 2.
The state first issued a statewide burn ban in October due to persistent drought and windy conditions. It was extended several times in some communities as dry conditions persisted.
