Vermonters encouraged to check whether they’re owed back wages

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – The federal government could have money with your name on it.

The U.S. Department of Labor wants to distribute more than $160,000 back to Vermonters. They say 102 people are owed back wages.

The distribution comes as a result of wage and hour detention investigations over the past two years, including violations concerning minimum wage, overtime, and child labor violations.

Darren Perron spoke with the department’s Adrianna Mynczywor about how to find out if you qualify.
