WILLISTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Officials are cutting the ribbon Tuesday on a new short-term respite center for those experiencing a mental health crisis.
Rosewood Cottage is a voluntary peer respite pilot program operated by Pathways Vermont. The program can accommodate up to two guests for short stays in a home-like setting, providing community-based emotional support and crisis relief.
Officials say expanding access to peer respite has been a vision for mental health peer providers for years.
Reporter Ike Bendavid will have more on the open house on the Channel 3 News tonight.
