PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – A Northern New York man was sentenced on Monday for murdering his wife.
Scott Tyrell, 58, of Peru, New York, was convicted of strangling his wife, Lisa Dashnaw, and hiding her body in the trunk of a rental car for months.
Tyrell pleaded guilty in September and now gets the maximum sentence for second-degree murder of 25 years to life in prison.
He will also serve a concurrent four-year sentence for concealing a corpse.
