MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – A burn ban has been extended again for counties in Southern Vermont.
The Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation says consistent dry conditions and high winds have further elevated wildfire risks.
Sunday, a brush fire burned across 2 acres in Claremont, New Hampshire. It took hours to extinguish but no one was injured.
In Vermont, the burn ban will continue in Bennington, Rutland, Windham and Windsor counties until next Monday.
