MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – The Vermont Statehouse is back open after closing for two days due to a burst pipe.
It happened Sunday night when a pipe burst in the first-floor ceiling on the west side of the building.
The Statehouse was closed until Tuesday morning while crews cleaned up the water.
One piece of artwork was damaged but staffers removed everything else.
The hallway where it happened will stay closed for about a week.
There’s no word yet on the cost of the damage.
