Littleton man found dead in Connecticut River

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A police investigation is now underway after a car was found submerged in the Connecticut River along with a dead driver.

On Saturday, New Hampshire State Police were called to a vehicle underwater along Route 135 in Lancaster.

Shortly after, they recovered the body of an adult man.

That man was later identified as 41-year-old Stephen Paquette of Littleton.

Paquette had been reported missing the day before and was last seen on September 27.

His death remains under investigation and the New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner is scheduled to perform an autopsy to determine his cause and manner of death.

Anyone with information is asked to call New Hampshire State Police.
