Pumpkin mystery returns to Plymouth State University

PLYMOUTH, N.H. (WCAX) – An annual pumpkin mystery kicked off the month of October at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire.

Two pumpkins appear on top of the clock tower at Rounds Hall every year. But how the pumpkins reach the top is a mystery that dates back to the 1970s.

Each year, students and faculty make guesses on how the pumpkins made it up the tower.

No one has ever taken responsibility or been caught placing the pumpkins there.
