$15M gift to launch new program for UVM business students

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – New business education opportunities are coming to University of Vermont students.

A new co-op program within the undergraduate Grossman School of Business will launch in 2025 thanks to a $15 million gift from the Grossman Family Foundation.

The yearlong program will have students work full-time with a partner company for one semester, supplemented with summer courses for an on-time graduation. The goal is to give students a competitive advantage when applying for jobs and to attract more applicants to UVM.

Katharine Huntley spoke with Sanjay Sharma, the school’s dean, about how the program will work.
