ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – A Rhode Island man charged in connection with an officer-involved shooting in Vermont back in July will continue to be held without bail.
Vermont State Police Sackal fired more than 40 shots from both automatic and semi-automatic weapons. He was shot multiple times.
Sackal appeared in Caledonia County Court earlier this week for a weight of the evidence hearing. He faces 17 charges including attempted aggravated murder.
His next court date has not been scheduled.
